    Hi,

i have wordpress version 4.7.3 with visual composer 5.0.1. visual composer works in backend mode but when i go in front end mode parts of the site are gone. Is it because visual composer must be updated to work with the latest version of WP? If so, i’ve bought Etch theme from Envato with VC, how do i updated VC?

    Thank you

The latest version of VC (5.1) was packaged with the latest version of Etch a couple days ago. You will need to download that in order to update.

Having said that, Visual Composer front-end is not perfect and various shortcodes or plugins may cause issues with it. Sliders, for example, don’t work very well with a front-end editor.

Let me know if you still have trouble after updating.

Yes, you have to download it again, but no you don’t have to uninstall anything. You can either:

    1. Update your theme either through FTP or with a plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-theme-and-plugin-upgrades/

    2. Or you can simply update the plugin if you like. It’s located inside the theme’s zip file lib/plugins folder, titled “js_composer.zip.”
