Hello, I can’t figure out how to remove the “fusion” icons in the header and footer? Also, how can I edit the maps location, can I replace that with a picture and still keep the menu bar? Thank you!October 6, 2017 at 2:16 am #47008
Sorry, I’m not 100% sure on the areas you’re referrencing. When you say the icons in the header and footer, are you referring to the logos or social icons or something else?
Logos are set under Header in Appearance->Customizer. If they’re in a widgetized area, the icons can be changed or removed from the relevant widget under Appearance->Widgets. Note that you can also use an AE Template under a widget and these templates can be edited just like other Elementor pages under AE Templates in your dashboard. This is how footers are created in Fusion.
For the map, if you click on it when editing the page in Elementor, you can add your own Latitude and Longitude. You could remove the map if you just wanted an image instead, but it would not be interactive.
If I misunderstood any of your questions, please let me know.October 9, 2017 at 2:41 am #47022
I’m referring to the logo, sorry about that. It says “fusion” in the upper left, I can’t find where to remove it. It also says “Fusion WordPress theme” on the left side under the logo. How do I remove that?October 9, 2017 at 4:23 am #47026
The logo is under Customizer->Header and then select Dark/Light Header depending on which you’re using. The default header style (light/dark can be set under “Base Header” but this can be changed on a page by page basis.
The text “Fusion WordPress Theme” is the WordPress site tagline located under Site Identity in the Customizer.October 9, 2017 at 8:39 pm #47039
thanks for your help, one last thing (hopefully) when I’m adding the social icon widget to a page, the element or` goes blank, not allowing me to add my different social networks, do you know why this is happening? Also, is there a way to add the social icons in the header? I don’t see it as an option when I’m in appearance. Thank you!October 10, 2017 at 6:42 am #47041
In the header there are generally 2 areas to add to (header 1 and 2) which are in different locations depending on the header style.
For the widget going blank- which version of Fusion are you using? Elementor needs to refresh to see these changes which can usually be done by hitting the “Apply” button, but newer versions of Fusion attempt to do this automatically.October 11, 2017 at 7:34 pm #47071
Yes, I see the headers but I didn’t see social icons as an option to add, do I have to add a shortcode? I’m using Version: 1.3.18 for Fusion, its still going blank, I’ve logged out and everything is updated. I also hit apply as well.October 12, 2017 at 3:32 am #47075
Are you using an AE Template inside the header widget? You can copy and paste an AE shortcode into a header widget so that you can add social icons via Elementor.
If you’re still having trouble with the icons going blank, feel free to privately post back with your login credentials and I’ll take a look.October 12, 2017 at 3:55 am #47077
For the icons going blank, I think we’ve resolved the issue over here – http://themeluxe.com/support/topic/fusion-cant-change-social-icons-link/#post-47076October 14, 2017 at 1:45 pm #47106
Hey, icons are still not loading for me. I’ve logged out too. I don’t see an update available either. What should I do? Thank you!October 15, 2017 at 4:11 pm #47108
What version of Fusion are you currently running? The latest is 1.3.20. If you’re running this and still having trouble with the icons, feel free to privately post your login credentials and I’ll take a look.October 15, 2017 at 4:16 pm #47110
I have 1.3.18. How do I update? Thank youOctober 16, 2017 at 3:08 am #47113
You’ll need to login to ThemeForest and download the latest version. As for how to install it, here’s a topic covering this – http://themeluxe.com/support/topic/how-to-install-update/October 16, 2017 at 5:51 pm #47120
thanks for that info, I tried uploading the updated theme and it keeps saying: Destination folder already exists. /www/wp-content/themes/fusion/
Theme install failed.
even when I changed the name of the folders I’m uploading…cant figure out how to change the name of my current theme. What do I do? Also, will I have to manually do this every time it updates, or should I install the plug in?October 16, 2017 at 5:59 pm #47121
Uploading the same theme unfortunately doesn’t work out of the box on any WordPress theme.
Did you check out the link I posted? There are several options in there and if you’re fairly new to WordPress, #2 might be a good one to use.
