    Got it, it’s in customize. Is it possible to add cover image and some text like this in portfolio item? https://cpher.com/work/travel-insurance-direct-branding

    That would be even better if I can make it using elementor.

    You can enable editing with Elementor on portfolio items under Elementor->Settings in your dashboard. Check of “Portfolio” and any other areas you’d like to be able to use Elementor.

    This will let you edit the main content area of these pages, but if you’re looking to replicate that exact link and want to hide the default page headers, you can add this to your Additional CSS in Customizer:

    .single-portfolio .page-header {
      display: none;
    }

    The portfolio header has to be dynamic based on the click of the grid. How do I put dynamic content with elementor? Cannot you add new template for portfolio item and push the update?

    Thanks,

    If you’re asking if we’re going to add the portfolio style you posted in the link to the theme, no we are not planning on adding that specific style.

    You can easily overwrite the styling for any of the current portfolio styles to match what you’d like. You can also override the individual templates in your child theme if you’d like to change the layout further.

    Elementor by nature is unique on each page, so if you don’t plan on having unique content on all of your portfolio pages, I’d recommend creating your own template override in the child theme.

    How can we leverage the power of elementor for portfolio item page? If I override or add new template, will it be lost if you throw out the the update?

    If you use Elementor, no you will not lose changes on updates. Same applies if you override with a custom template. If you choose to create a custom template, just make sure this goes into your child theme and you will not lose anything.

    However, if you use Elementor, you will have to manually style each page with Elementor. For example, if you create the page header/title area with Elementor, you’ll have to do this on every page. If that’s what want, that’s okay. But if you want the page title to automatically use the featured image as a page header background on each page (and you can’t modify it), then you’d want to use a child theme template.
