I am using Elementor to build the pages, could this be the problem? I.e. if you hover over ‘What I do’ in the top navigation the menu drops down but doesn’t go anywhere if you click on any of the options but if you right click and open in a new tab or window it takes you to the relevant page.
I also noted that once you land on one of those pages and again hover on a top nav menu item the show the slide= URL but if you click it just takes you back to the home page and you have to click the menu item a second time.
Sorry to keep being such a pain!April 10, 2018 at 4:11 am #47890
I think we might be jumping around to a lot of different issues here. I thought we were discussing buttons in the last post, but it sounds like you’re having trouble with the navigation now.
I can confirm that your nav links aren’t working with the latest version of Chrome. Have you applied the fix here? http://themeluxe.com/support/topic/quickstep-top-nav-not-working-in-chrome-61/#post-46959April 10, 2018 at 5:23 am #47892
I am sorry to be confusing, The two (buttons and navigation) are kind of part of the same issue.
The Buttons on the Home page (How can I help and Get in touch) are built in Elementor and do not scroll to the correct element in the page and instead try to create a new element in the bottom of the page. I.e. the How I can help you button at the top of the page is linked to https://totallyredms.co.uk?slide=services in the HTML and Elementor dashboard but I notice on the live site it adds a / before the ?.
The second issue is the navigation to separate pages. I know you sent me some code to add, I just cant see where to, I checked the documentation and I don’t see CSS Style or Link Target in the screen options box.
I can confirm that I have updated the Jquery.Scrollto.js and the Custom.js per your fix above.

These fixes are not appearing on your site ( http://themeluxe.com/support/topic/quickstep-top-nav-not-working-in-chrome-61/#post-46959 )
Are you sure they weren’t reverted afterwards by your host? The scrollTo file and the other edits don’t appear at all.
Elementor buttons will not work with the slide feature since they have no way of knowing theme features. You should use the built-in Quickstep buttons:
[button slide="contact"] Slide to Contact Page [/button]
If your WordPress dashboard does not have CSS classes enabled for menus, you can enable them like so – https://presscustomizr.com/snippet/adding-css-classes-wordpress-menu/April 10, 2018 at 11:09 am #47895
I have just checked both the files through filezilla as well as through WP Changes are up to date although I had missed one instance in the Custom.js which has now been updated. So they should be there now.
I can’t see how to add the quickstep button into the elementor page. Am I making this all harder for myself using Elementor?April 10, 2018 at 3:23 pm #47897
The other changes are looking good now. One last error popping up on your site ( http://themeluxe.com/support/topic/issue-with-navigationlinking-when-loading-content-on-an-own-page/#post-44156 )
Hard to say with Elementor. I like it as a plugin, but I don’t think a lot of people have tried it with Fusion. As for the buttons, however, you should be able to just drop them into the “Shortcode” widget in Elementor and they should function normally.April 10, 2018 at 3:24 pm #47898This reply has been marked as private.April 11, 2018 at 8:19 am #47902
Thank you Josh,
I have applied those final fixes to the custom.js. I am now attempting to add the button shortcode in elementor but at present it just shows the code! example in the http://www.totallyredms.co.uk/about/ section (hahah why me!).
I have a dev friend looking at it for me at present so fingers crossed he spots what I am doing wrong before I throw my laptop out the window :).
Will keep you posted, all your help so far is very much appreciated.

Oh man, that’s unlucky. One thing you might try is retyping the shortcode by hand. Sometimes copying and pasting will insert hidden characters that prevent shortcodes from being parsed.
If that doesn’t work, maybe the Elementor devs will have a better answer.
