Hey there, sorry you’re having trouble.

I tested and it does seem like this works better with some themes than others, but the bug is coming from within the latest version of Metaslider. Here’s the thread on the issue – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/cannot-add-new-slides-to-existing-and-new-sliders/ .

So based on that thread you have 2 options:

    1. Add a caption to the image when inserting the image (they say ‘Description’ is the field needed in the thread, but I had to use ‘Caption’ in order to get the image working). You can remove the caption after it has been inserted.

    2. Or use an older version of Metaslider until they fix this. The version included in the theme is 2.6.3, which is a bit older, but it works well with the latest version of WordPress and there don’t appear to be a large difference in features.

Let me know if this works for you.

This sounds like a separate issue from the Metaslider bug so it’s probably best to address them separately.

We recently moved to a new server and added new demo content so the images would pull from the correct URLs. However, if you downloaded the theme more than 5 days ago, you may not have the latest version and need to download again.

In that case, you can download again from ThemeForest and run the import again (make sure and delete the old content first if you do this).

If you downloaded within the past 5 days, you’re welcome to privately post your login credentials and we’ll take a look. However, from the looks of things it seems as though you’re missing a homepage background image and the framework/shortcodes plugin is not activated.
