I have installed the latest Fusion theme with the latest Contact form 7 plugin.

When I insert a input type “text” or “tel” I get the following error:

main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:5 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined
        at HTMLInputElement.<anonymous> (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:5)
        at Function.each (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)
        at a.fn.init.each (jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:2)
        at window.materializeForms (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:5)
        at Object.<anonymous> (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:6)
        at Object.trigger (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:3)
        at Object.init (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:3)
        at Object.start (main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:3)
        at main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:6
        at main.js?ver=4.9.1:sourcemap:6

When I switch to input type number then the error disappears.
Very strange. How can I fix this?

Do you have a placeholder set on these fields?

If that fixes it, it may be related to the “Materialize” labels. In that case we’ll add a check for this before applying the effect.

Adding a placeholder fixed this. Thanks a lot.
