    I just noticed today when i opened my site the followed messages
    please check
    Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement in the script in H:\root\home\joffre2020-001\www\site2\wp-content\themes\fusion\inc\widgets.php on line 3

    I believe this may be an isolated incident with your server configuration, but let’s try the following things first:

    1. Try uploading the theme again from scratch to make sure this file has not been modified or corrupted.
    2. What version of PHP are you currently running? If less than 5.6, you’ll need to upgrade.
    3. In the file mentioned (H:\root\home\joffre2020-001\www\site2\wp-content\themes\fusion\inc\widgets.php) try removing the linebreak between the opening tag and namespace, so it would go from this:

    <?php
    
    namespace Elementor;

    To this:

    <?php
    namespace Elementor;

    Hi i had to delete and install the theme again. now it seems to be working.
    Im using smarterasp hosting
    PHP 5.2.x – 7.x

    I hope the site doesnt break again , will let u know if this happens again
