    Hello, my contact forms do not display properly:
    When y tried to configure contact form7, first box field element only show bottom border line, and elements like acceptance checkboxes doesn’t appear.

    I tried also with formilla forms, and we found the same problem in checkbox elements :(
    In other themes like generatepress or twenty twelve this elements work properly.
    What can i do?
    Thanks for you support.

    Image visualization problem:

    Thank you!

    1. The theme style is just a bottom border for forms. To remove this in CF7, just remove the wrapping div elements that have ‘form-group’ in your contact form:

    <div class="form-group>  <---- Remove this
    [your_contact_form_7_input "nombre" ...]
    </div>  <---- Remove this

    2. Can you try adding this to your Additional CSS?

    input[type="checkbox"] {
        -webkit-appearance: checkbox;

    Thank you Joshua for your quick respose:

    1- I don’t know ho to do with the code you gave me. I introduced my form by elementor page builder, trying by shortcode first, and by contact form module element after.
    I detected and strange behavior: when i duplicate contact form in elementor, the first contact form shows erroneously the first field, but this not happen in second contact form. So that is the same contact form!
    You can see the problem in this test page.

    2- The css code works properly in CF7, but not in Caldera Forms.

    1. Under “Contact Forms” in your dashboard, look for the contact form you’re trying to edit. You will see that your contact form 7 have those HTML tags around it and need to be removed.

    2. Your Caldera form doesn’t have a checkbox in it. This is not from styling- it doesn’t have the HTML checkbox element at all. I would double check that it’s added and if so, try and get in touch with Caldera’s support.

    Good morning Joshua:

    1- I can’t find html tags around my contact form. This is the code i see. I attach you and print screen image also:

    <label> Tu nombre (requerido)
    [text* your-name] </label>

    <label> Tu correo electrónico (requerido)
    [email* your-email] </label>

    <label> Asunto
    [text your-subject] </label>

    <label> Tu mensaje
    [textarea your-message] </label>

    [acceptance your-consent] He leído y acepto las condiciones de privacidad [/acceptance]
    [submit “Enviar”]

    Printscreen image:

    2- Printscreen Caldera Forms, with checkbox in backend.

    1. Can you try updating your theme to the latest version? This will probably make all those fields underlined like the theme style, but if you need additional CSS to make them boxed, I can provide that to you.

    If that doesn’t work, feel free to privately post your login credentials and I’ll take a look.

    2. Does switching to a different theme show this checkbox?

    1. This actually works as expected. You may need to refresh your cache after updating the theme. If you want to make the boxes outlined instead of underline, you can add this to your additional css:

    .form-group input, input, .form-group textarea, textarea, .form-group select, select {
        border: 1px solid black;

    2. The Caldera forms aren’t on that page. Could you give me a page where you’ve added them? And to double check- this is the piece I was asking if switching to a different theme helped. Can you confirm?
