    I have two (very basic) questions about columns:

    1. Can we use columns in a 1/3 + 2/3 format? For instance, so that an image (or text) is on the left 1/3 and text goes into the remaining 2/3 of the width of the page. (I know I can use tables for this but would prefer to use the column shortcode if possible.)

    2. Is it possible to set text to automatically flow into columns? Say I have a few paragraphs of text and would like it to be evenly distributed in two or three columns. Or on a page showing all testimonials, they would automatically be evenly distributed in two columns.

    Thanks!

    1. Sure. You can add a one third and two third column shortcode to create this layout. If you click the shortcode generator button (on the WYSIWYG toolbar), it will write out these shortcodes for you automatically.

    2. This one is somewhat possible, but full browser support may not be there. Add this to your Custom CSS first in theme options:

    .flex-container
    {
      -webkit-column-count: 3;
      -webkit-column-gap: 3em;
    }

    Then on your page, add your content like so:

    <div class="flex-container">
    <p>Your content</p>
    </p>goes</p>
    </p>here.</p>
    </div>

    I can see your columns added but I don’t see anything added between the columns. Can you confirm that your content looks like this:

    [one_half]Your content should be here[/one_half]

    You’ll also want to specify one of them as the “first” column to correctly set the margins.

    Thank you. This is what is created by the generator, and it does not show up on the page:

    [one_third first content_onethird="first third text here "][/one_third][two_third content_twothird="two thirds text here"][/two_third]

    When I change it to this, it does work:

    [one_third first]one third text here[/one_third][two_third]two third text here[/two_third]

    So the column problem is solved. Thank you! Although I don’t quite understand why the auto-generated code doesn’t work.

    Some other auto-generated code does not seem to work on my site. For instance:

    [icon color="#0d0c0c" size="20" content_icon="icon_globe_alt"][/icon]

    [testimonial color="#111010" orderby="date" order="ASC"]

    That is very odd. Those items prefixed with ‘content_’ should be placed between the brackets instead of inside.

    I’ll see if I can’t replicate this locally and provide a fix for it.

    I had an older theme from you installed before Glissando. Maybe the generator somehow didn’t get updated when I installed the new theme?

    It should be directly embedded in the theme. You can try refreshing your cache, but I’m thinking it’s more likely some kind of bug.
