I am using the Fusion theme with the Fusion Agency data import. I was trying to make some of the links in the menu scroll to a section with an ID. Example: when “about us” is clicked it would scroll to the section with the ID. I saw this in the Fusion Documentation that came with the file.
This works fine if you use the default menu (until you get to mobile). And with the overlay menu(the one that comes with the Fusion Agency import) it doesn’t seem to work because it’s like the mobile menu. Since the menus take up the whole screen and linking in the same page to a section with an ID. If you click the “about us” the menu stays open and tries to scroll.
Please note I have also turned off the Ajax transitions.
Is there a way to make it so if a mobile menu item (or overlay menu) is clicked (and is linked to a section with an ID), the menu then closes then scrolls to the section with the ID?

I believe this fix may work for you. Please let me know if you need any more help.December 2, 2017 at 9:07 am #47466
Thank you for answering Joshua, That does fix the issue for the default menu although I did have to change .dropdown to .menu-item ( the wordpress menu ) but if I have the Overlay menu (the default menu for Fusion Agency) picked it does not work. I thought they were the same but after looking at it, the overlay menu is set up different.
When a menu item is clicked in the overlay menu, can it act like the close button for the overlay menu. Like how the close button has the data-target set. So basically when I click a menu item it will be just like the close button.
And I’m not sure if I need to start a new ticket or question. But when having a menu with links to an ID and a link to another page. For example: home about-us another-link and contact. Contact is another page (where as about-us and another-link go to IDs on the home page) and links to /contact. Then when you click the about-us it goes to /contact#about-us because its looking for that ID on the contact page. Is there a way to fix this? I will start a new ticket if needed.
Thanks again for all your help and for your theme. And the quick response timeDecember 2, 2017 at 10:22 am #47467
Can you post a link to your site? I’ll take a look at the overlay menu issue.
As for the anchor tags, you can use the full path instead of just the anchor (e.g. /#about-us or /contact#map). In some cases you may need to use the full URL depending on your server/wp setup (e.g. http://yourdomain.com/contact#map).
