I can’t import the demo XML file into my WordPress. I keep gettinh the 404 error after the upload finishes. Or it apears a blank space in the import area. My server PHP settings are:

Hi @babsjgs I think I responded to you in the other thread, but we need more information to help.
A blank page or 404 means something is wrong with your server configuration. You may want to ask your host as many can help you resolve issues and help adjust actual PHP settings.
If you can turn on your WordPress debug or access your server’s error log, I can point you in the right direction.March 12, 2018 at 8:39 pm #47761
The support on the server said that maybe the XML demo that I have is not compatible with the current version of wordpress. The upload is sucessfull, the “reading” of the XML is not.March 12, 2018 at 10:04 pm #47762
somethings are broken in the demo on envato, i don’t know if this is relevantMarch 13, 2018 at 5:26 pm #47763
Sorry to be blunt, but your server support is incorrect. Just tested on a fresh install with the latest WP version and this is working. Not to mention that WordPress isn’t going to break 10+ years of backwards compatibility.
A blank page or 404 is definitely a server error. At the very least they should be able to help you check your server error logs. It’s very likely that your server memory limits or upload size limits are set too low.March 13, 2018 at 7:19 pm #47766
Im gonna change servers then, thx for the help.July 10, 2018 at 12:09 am #48176
Hi, already changed server TWICE. Simpleflex demo still not importing. On today’s error: “can’t read XML” Do you have another version?July 10, 2018 at 8:33 am #48181
There isn’t another version since that is the current working version. If you post your login credentials privately here, I’ll take a look.July 10, 2018 at 2:40 pm #48185This reply has been marked as private.July 11, 2018 at 4:46 am #48189
Your server memory limits were too low. I increased them and was able to import.
Note that I only imported the demo content and not the sliders or theme options. You can import these separately if you’d like.July 11, 2018 at 3:30 pm #48190
Thx Joshua, where did you increased the memory limit?
I have installed the plugins, imported the slider revolution sliders and the redux_options_luxe_options_backup_22-08-2017. json Am i missing something?July 12, 2018 at 5:38 am #48191
I increased the memory limit under your PHP settings in your cPanel.
Can you try deleting all the demo pages (make sure and empty them from the trash as well) and run the importer one more time? It looks like the pages all imported correctly, but the individual page settings didn’t come through; background colors appear to be missing which should come through in the import.July 12, 2018 at 5:40 am #48192
Also, if you can please try downloading the latest copy of Simpleflex from ThemeForest and importing the demo content from the latest demo files.
