I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a portfolio category navigation to ONLY the portfolio listing page (http://lilithetcie.com/index.php/creations/) in the header area

so the the projects can be displayed with a sort according to their attributed category

    i.e. A horizontal breadcrumbs-looking navigation :
CRÉATIONS (ALL) / COMMUNAUTÉ / INSITU / INSTALLATION PERFORMATIVE / SPECTACLE SCÉNIQUE / VIDÉO

    – or can it be done via the menu overlay – by creating a sub-menu (vertical) underneath the menu item CRÉATIONS?

    Thanks again!

If you’re just looking to insert links, I think adding normal links through Elementor on that page would accomplish what you’re trying to do. Then you could position that section to be ‘fixed’ or ‘absolute’ under the Advanced settings and set the top position.

If you have any trouble with positioning of this, feel free to post back.

Im wondering about this too. Ive tried adding a drop down portfolio category menu, but cant find the correct link

    ive tried
    .com/work/product-design
    .com/portfolio/product-design
    .com/portfolio/category/product-design
    and all bring up 404

Any idea what the link is to show only portfolio items from a certain category?

These are turned off by default. I believe the above poster was creating different pages with with different grids or carousels.

If you want to use the WordPress category page, you can make these categories visible on the front-end by editing the luxe-post-types/inc/luxe-portfolio.php file around line 57 to read:

    'rewrite' => array( 'slug' => get_theme_mod( 'portfolio_slug', 'portfolio' ) . '-category', 'with_front'=> true )

This will use the portfolio slug you’ve set in the Customizer and append ‘-category.’ So if you set your portfolio slug to ‘work’ the above will make your category URL yourdomain.com/work-category/category-name.

I think your reply #47479 is what I would like to achieve by using WordPress category page. So to enable the categories, one has to unzip the luxe-post-types.zip found in wp-content/themes/fusion/inc/plugins folder, and then modify luxe-post-types/inc/luxe-portfolio.php ?

Correct, except that if you’ve already installed the plugin (via the quick installer at the top of the screen), this file is already located under wp-content/plugins/luxe-post-types/inc/luxe-portfolio.php and no unzip is necessary.

still haven’t managed to wrap my head around having a category sort for the portfolio. Should I be inserting manual links to categories in a text box? I have tried to view Categories in the admin side of the site, and am getting 404 errors even after editing the luxe-portfolio.php page

When you say category sort, do you mean the traditional theme-like grid sorting behavior? (Where you click a button and the grid animates in/out items in that category? If so, this is a different topic as this topic only pertains to separate category pages.

If you’ve already made those changes under the plugin folder, you may need to refresh your permalinks. Try going to Settings->Permalinks and saving to update them.

Yes- I mean the traditional theme-like sorting behaviour. Is this possible with Fusion?

It’s not an included feature, but it’s something we could probably add without too much bloat. If you open your own ticket for a feature request, we’ll consider adding this to an upcoming version.
